Creative Fortune Teller
In the design process there are many decisions that have to be made. Sometimes too many. Using the classic paper game Fortune Teller as a starting point I have created a prototype of a Creative Fortune Teller which can be used as a guide in the design process. Giving a set of options for font, colour, theme or texture, this game can help us think in new directions and step out of old design habits. What you see here are prototypes and I will use the feed back I get during the event to improve and develop this project further.
Creative Thursday
My role was to organise and promote this event as a way to carry the creative techniques we learned in the Critical and Creative Thinking class at HMKW to the outside and to present the results of our class. Therefore I wanted to find a suitable location that was fit for all forms of presentations, such as video, installation, games, etc. Collaborating with Space Shack seemed to give benefits to all parties. We have a great venue for our event and at the same time we bring creativity and creative people to Space Shack.
As part of the preparation for the event I made a small research among the Space Shack members about their expectations and experiences with events in the co-working space. For the event poster I used a part of the result of the Creative Characters group. The black dot in the centre is a reference to the four dots in the 'exquisite corpse' exercise and symbolises the unity of all students.
My focus was to create a platform where all groups that worked through the semester can unite and share their work.
